About Sarah Ann Godfrey

Born and raised in Omaha, NE, Sarah Godfrey developed a passion for the arts early on, exploring various creative disciplines including drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, textiles, jewelry making, and interior design.

 

She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts with a Minor in Art History from Creighton University in 2015. Continuing her education, completed the Magis Program at Creighton University, earning a Master of Education with a focus in K-12 Art in 2017. During this time, she taught full-time at Creighton Preparatory School, guiding students in developing their artistic skills. 

Following her time in the Magis Program, Godfrey pursued her Master of Fine Arts at Iowa State University, which she completed in May 2020. The following August, she returned to teaching as a full-time faculty member at Millard West High School, where she brings a dynamic and interdisciplinary approach to art education. 

At Millard West, Godfrey teaches both traditional fine art courses as well as cutting-edge design courses within the Millard STEM Academy. As an instructor for Industrial Design I & II, she helps students bridge the gap between art, design, and engineering, emphasizing problem-solving, creativity, and hands-on experiences. Her ability to teach across disciplines allows her to reach a diverse range of students, inspiring future artists, designers, and innovators alike.
